We are especially interested in making all our patients feel right at home! We put your needs first to achieve efficient and comprehensive treatment. Our staff is trained and skilled, and we strive to provide energetic and fun-loving service to each patient. Several members of the staff have been with the practice for 10 years or more, and with families of their own, possess a personal understanding of the needs and expectations of children and their parents. As a result, our patients feel relaxed. If they eventually require braces or other orthodontic treatment, we already know their personality and can fit their treatment to their personality.
Elaine S.
Elaine joins our team as Practice Manager. She brings over 20 years of experience in Office Management, Human Resources and Accounting to provide our staff and our patients the best possible care. Elaine loves children of all ages and feels blessed with a career that allows her to help children and their families. She and her husband enjoy a busy life filled with her four grandchildren's activities and travel. Her family volunteers every year to provide Christmas joy to needy children.
Billie
Billie is proud to be a military wife. Her husband serves our country as a Chief in the Airforce. They have three grown children and a daughter still in high school. After enjoying the travel of military life, they have settled in La Vernia to enjoy the country life and riding dirt bikes. Billie is energetic and fun in everything she does. Her free spirit spills into her love of working with children. Billie has over 25 years experience in the dental field, 18 of those involving orthodontics, and she still continues to learn. She also has a passion for volunteer work and is currently donating her time to the Breast Cancer Association.
Veronika
Veronika is the product of a military family but has spent the majority of her life calling San Antonio home. She has been around dentistry from birth; her father has been a practicing dentist for over 38 years. Veronika is married and stayed home with her three boys for 13 years. During that time the pull into the dentistry field became increasingly stronger, and, as her youngest was getting ready for kindergarten over two years ago, Veronika returned to school to become a Dental Assistant. Veronika has a great spirit and loves working with children while continuing to learn daily and increase her dental knowledge. We consider ourselves lucky to have Veronika's smiling face on a daily basis.
Wendy
Wendy came to us from the Gulf Coast of South East Texas. With her bubbly southern accent she greets all the children with a smile. After attending college to become an elementary school teacher, Wendy changed her major to hygiene because of her love of dentistry. Wendy has been a Hygienist for over 15 years, all the while raising her two children and being an amazing wife. She and her family have been calling San Antonio home since July 2010, and enjoying Hill Country living. Wendy continues her love for learning and stays up-to-date on all the latest dental research and technology.
Barbara
Barbara feels blessed to join such a wonderful and caring staff at Dr. Wiegand's office. She joins our team with over four years of front office dental experience. Barbara and her family recently moved to San Antonio from Oklahoma. Barbara's primary responsibility is to confirm and schedule appointments and check patients out. Barbara and her husband are enjoying the wonderful weather and people they have met so far in Texas, and they cannot wait to show their children all of the fun things to do in San Antonio.
Donna
Donna has been working in the dental field for over 25 years. She grew up in a small town in West Texas, and moved to the big city of San Antonio when she was 18. She has one beautiful daughter and loves children. Donna has knowledge in administrative and clinical areas of the office. Her primary role is taking care of Accounts Receivables, but she also helps patients with appointments and can answer their insurance questions. She enjoys volunteering at the Haven for Hope Dental Clinic and going on dental mission trips.
MiMi
Mimi is our friendly Restorative Treatment Coordinator. She joined our team in 2002 with several years of dental office experience. She is married with three children, one granddaughter and appreciates the importance of putting our patients’ needs first to achieve a pleasant experience. Both of her boys participate in football, basketball and track. Her oldest son was awarded First Team All-District in football. Not only does Mimi spend many hours supporting her children and granddaughter’s sporting activities, she also enjoys traveling and volunteering at her church.
Elaine C.
Elaine is one of our Clinical Assistants and serves as the leader of our clinical team. She brings a calm and relaxing, soothing personality to our practice. She started at Dr. Wiegand's practice in 1991. Her attention to detail and gentle care make a pleasant and enjoyable environment for our patients. Elaine spends her spare time with her family and she is an avid animal lover who has rescued many of San Antonio's homeless cats and found them loving homes.
Tammy
Hygiene Coordiantor
Tammy is our hygiene coordinator. She joins our office with 12 years of experience in the dental field. Tammy's main goal is developing, coordinating, and maintaining the hygiene schedule, as well as performing all functions of the front desk. Tammy takes pride in being a military spouse; her husband is currently serving in the United States Navy. Tammy and her family have recently moved from San Diego, California, and are thrilled to be back in Texas as both she and her husband grew up in West Texas. They have recently welcomed a beautiful baby boy named Carson and love seeing him grow and change daily.
